Found in leafy Maida Vale, nestled between Warwick Avenue and Little Venice, The Hero of Maida is a traditional Victorian pub with rooms which serves a seasonally changing menu that champions quality British produce. The pub also doubles up as a venue for hire, offering three dedicated event spaces to choose from.
There are two private dining rooms at The Hero of Maida, the first of which is called The Blue Room and can welcome up to 10 seated guests. The cosy, versatile space lends itself to both intimate dinners or drinks receptions and features antique furnishings and an original fireplace. For seated occasions, guests gather around one circular table, ensuring that everyone has a chance to be a part of the conversation.
The Hero of Maida’s second private dining room, and its prime event space, is known as The White Room - found on the venue’s third floor, it can accommodate up to 40 guests for a sit-down meal or up to 70 for a standing reception. The White Room is a chic proposition, boasting a cosy fireplace, velvet drapes and large windows which allow for plenty of natural daylight. It is also the venue’s most versatile option, as equally well suited to birthday parties as it is business lunches.
Although not technically a private dining space, there is also the option to hire out The Hero of Maida’s first-floor dining room. This space can seat up to 60 guests and benefits from high ceilings and large windows which give it a real sense of grandeur, while also feeling light and airy.
Further draws of hosting an event here include The Hero of Maida’s on-site accommodation: there are five boutique en-suite rooms to choose from, all decorated to a great standard and an ideal stop-off for delegates travelling from afar.
